Roberto Kraenkel

Kraenkel holds a PhD in theoretical physics (1988) and is professor at the Institute for Theoretical Physics – São Paulo State University since 1991. Presently, he works with nonlinear and complex dynamical systems with a focus in interdisciplinary applications.  Previous research was in the dynamics of water-waves and in atomic physics, always with a view on nonlinear aspects.

He was a post-doctoral visitor at the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques and an invited professor at the universities of Montpellier, Marseille and Lyon.  He was in charge of several international projects, with universities in Scotland, France, India, Vietnam and Cameroon.
